Top 5 Music and Podcasts Apps on Android in Ukraine Q4 2022

In the fourth quarter of 2022, the music and podcast app landscape in Ukraine on the Android platform saw notable trends in downloads and active user metrics. According to Sensor Tower, here’s a closer look at the performance of the top 5 apps in this category.

Spotify: Music and Podcasts experienced a decline in weekly downloads, starting from approximately 28.4K in late September and dropping to around 15.1K by mid-December, before a slight rebound to 19.8K in the last week of December. The weekly active users metric also showed a slight decline, from about 475.9K to 468.8K over the same period.

Shazam: Find Music & Concerts had a relatively stable performance in weekly downloads, fluctuating between 12.4K and 17.6K. The active users saw a slight decrease from 561.6K at the start of the quarter to 528.6K by the end of December.

Радіо Україна - Radio Ukraine showed a significant increase in weekly downloads, peaking at around 11K in late November before dropping to approximately 6.4K by the end of December. Active users increased from 11.9K in late September to 17.7K in late November, followed by a decrease to 13.8K by the end of the year.

SoundCloud: Play Music & Songs saw its weekly downloads remain relatively stable, averaging around 5.9K to 6.5K throughout the quarter. Active users showed a steady increase, peaking at approximately 221.8K in late November before ending the quarter at around 214.8K. The app also saw modest weekly revenue, reaching up to $134 in early November.

YouTube Music had a consistent performance in weekly downloads, ranging from 4.7K to 6.7K. The active user base remained strong, starting at 1.81M in late September and maintaining around 1.75M to 1.83M throughout the quarter.
